Sad but true. My cousin, who was in a Special Forces unit, also known as Elite Forces, close to 7 feet tall, whom I have nicknamed SAMSON, people with hearts of steel, about 9 years ago, in the city of Modesto, California, while leaving for work after his wife and children went out as always to send him off to work with a tasteful kiss from each, after the routine farewells and kisses, his 3 year old was seen getting into the house and totally forgotten about assuming he's gone inside and will not come back out, the little child had apparently come out while his parents hugged for that moment, the wife seeing her husband into the van, the little one wanting to stop his father form leaving, goes to the back of the van thinking he can stop his daddy's machine and stands right behind the van, his dad engaging the transmission into reverse, looking through his rear view mirror then turning around to check behind his van, NOT seeing anything, starts to reverse leaving his driveway and getting on with his business, when suddenly he felt he went over a bump, extremely surprised, he came out to see what was that and to his biggest nightmare, he saw his little child laying underneath his van breathing his last. The father was totally devastated and for months he never stopped crying like a 3 year old would cry, eventually the depression and sorrow took their toll on him and my dearest cousin could not bear it any longer and as a result he eventually died a young man, his heart of steel could not live with what he has done and killed him.

I was greatly saddened with what I heard, I never for a moment thought, such a thing could ever happen to a great man like him or to our family AS WE ALL DO THINK THAT WAY; how wrong was I, even great men with hearts of steel and trained fighters still have emotions and all!!!

The irony is, that tragedy could have been AVOIDED SO EASILY and I will explain how later in my letter.

Another incident without a tragic ending which could have easily been the other way around, is that a lady from our Bible Study meetings was in a very similar situation, as she was reversing out of her driveway, her neighbor's daughter was actually on a small tricycle right behind her car, which she had NO way of seeing and so, she starts to reverse and all she could hear was people's screams and shouts, after she hits the tricycle and knocks the child over, she still does not know what happened, but the screams of others pointing at her, made her stop just at the right time and people started rushing towards her and she still was totally unaware of what happened, she gets out of her car and everybody rushes to the rear of the car and so she goes back there and to her utmost shock, she can see a little girl standing up and crying while she is being rescued by her other neighbors; anyway, thank God, this incident ended with great blessings, both for the little girl's mother and my friend from church, no charges were filed and the case was closed peacefully.

A few years ago, when I was in Europe, I saw this commercial on a P.O.P stand in one of the big stores there, showing this wonderful gadget that I immediately thought of importing it and marketing it which is extremely helpful to abstain this kind of accidents; my mind was blessed so greatly that in no time, while observing this commercial, my mind actually raced it and I was blessed to conclude several advantages for this gadget that would serve my fellow citizens magnificently.
